Lovely Scene

Don’t you just love the picture above?  It reminds me of the Coast off of Hwy 1.  My vacation is coming up and this is the kind of place I go.  I stay in a lovely house in the Sea Ranch, gifted to us whenever my husband and I need to get away.  We haven’t had a “real” vacation in 4 or 5 years!  Needless to say, I can hardly wait til mid-July to go and rest.  No phone, no TV (although we haven’t had TV for quite a few months now) no computers, no demands, just rest.  The air smells clean, the food tastes better and you eat less because you are so in tune with nature. Just to spend alone time with my husband is the most exciting.  We have been through a lot, especially in the last 2 years.  He is 2 years post-stroke.  I like the guy he is now, better than the guy he was turning into, before the stroke.  Luckily, and because of lots of prayer and God’s grace, he is pretty much healed and whole.  There are no major residual side effects left that hinder his living in any way.  So, we are learning how to be together again.  It’s sort of like a new romance.  Ooooo.  Let me stop here!  Let me know about where you like to vacation or if you care to share about stroke or traumatic brain injury.  Peace!

  1. Very nice. I’d like a shack on a beach. I love that smell of salt and sun. We used to stay with the mother of a family friend on Balboa Island. The house was 1/2 block from the beach – teeny beach beyond a tide wall – and there was an entrance on the side right into a locker room with showers and those slatted floors. Smelled great to me!

    P.S. A butterfly is OUT!!! M.
