So, I just read my husband’s blog. Awwwhhhh Shucks! Thank You, Honey! It’s funny how we’ll write stuff so eloquently, but we don’t talk to each other like we write. I guess that’s the cool thing about reading people’s thoughts. I am telepathic… or, rather intuitive, but reading my husband’s blog is waaayyy different than talking to him. Keep it up, Honey! It’s goo!!

Another New Blog!
My older daughter, Sara, just started a blog. She is “Big Sista” so check her out. This blog will be very personal. I almost made it private, but she is taking a leap and a risk. I will certainly enjoy her process. Sara is a very loving, beautiful and sensitive woman. She isn’t very extraverted when it comes to “new” relationships, but if you know her, she doesn’t skip a beat and she speaks her mind. This is a good thing! Sara is well-balanced and it’s hard not to love her. She can get under your skin if you’re not careful, but you have to piss her off something fierce to make that happen. She has the most adorable kitty in the world…Bing. (full name: Bing Bong Yin Yow Su Jin Thomas!) She’s so small and we recently found out that Bing is only functioning with one kidney! She’s like 9 years old!! We lubba her berry much! When I figure out how to do “Flickr,” I’ll put some pics up. So, my whole family is represented here under my links. The Poetry/Ideas blog is my husband’s blog. He’s weird! (just kidding!!) If he can get his thoughts out on this blog, and really write what is in his heart, this blog could be THE single most awesome blog around. Husband, let it FLOW! Gotta go, now. More on lots of topics, later…(Like Body Tales). http://bodytales.com.

Just Say No to Palin!
Okay, so even though this blog was originally set up for work– I am continuing on and making it personal. As a public servant, at work, I am not allowed to express my “views” as regards anything. Basically, I serve the public and that’s it. But, now, this Blog is officially an open forum. Please read the new blog that I have posted http://womenagainstsarahpalin.blogspot.com/ and add your voice. Amazing stuff. See how simple coming together can be when we are provoked! I am SO provoked. “Get together everybody….tryin to love one another right now….” COME ON PEOPLE, NOW!

Wundahfull!
So, there’s nothing like passing the time away, reading someone else’s blog. You guys need to check out my daughter’s wonderful blog, http://rachelsrising.blogspot.com. What a refreshing life this child has. Well, she’s a grown woman, and has ventured to Chicago, to have a new life. I feel like I can live (sort of) vicariously through her. I can’t take credit for her success, she’s a driven soul and a hard worker. God is with her and she is flying through the air with a striking grace that I have yet to witness anywhere else. (Although… she sort of reminds me of myself, except she’s so much more intelligent that I was!…meaning “book smart.”) She takes after her Dad in the “brains” department. The rest of the craziness is from me…plus a mixture of her own brand of ”nutzo!” Hahahaha!
What is up with T.V.? I had no television from around March until just before the Olympics. I should have just turned it off. But, once you are connected to some cable, the temptation is awful. I love cooking shows, Bizarre Foods and No Reservations, and Animal Planet. But, the news has a way of creeping into my psyche. Not a good thing. It’s better to watch animals get rescued or taken from abusive owners who starve them, than to listen to the latest “pig” comments by the politicos. I especially find Andrew Zimmern eating meal worms more entertaining than listening to people claim that Palin is the right pick for a veep. No freakin’ way, folks! Obama is the coolest dude ever. Why in the world would anyone assume that he’d stoop so low as to call “anyone” a pig. These repubs can’t even remember what they say half the time. The rest of these fools need to just quit. I cannot believe what is happening in this country. WHAT ARE WE THINKING? Folks, I am usually not so strong-minded when it comes to politics, but I have to say that if this country doesn’t get a clue…and SOON, we are doomed. Seriously. “Enough is enough!” I’m through!

I’m Done with the 10 Things!
Hey, so I completed my Wiki! I think I screwed up and helped someone else to screw up, but basically, my review of “Parched” by Heather King is on the Wiki site. And, that’s all I’m going to do. I’ll write in this blog when I have a chance. I looked through all of the weeks of 10 things, as I stated in a previous blog. I am not going to use these things in the near future. I printed up all the instructions, I signed up for meebo, but as far as chatting and doing exercises, I didn’t have interest. I am not interested in MySpace or Facebook, I might like to use Flickr to put pretty pictures of my loved ones on this blog or something, but for the most part, I have no interest in hanging out on the computer. I have looked at things on YouTube before, etc. So, where’s my mug?

Back to Work
Went away for a few days. It’s been over 5 years since my husband and I were alone, together, on a vaca. I wish I could have stayed at least 2 months! The Library was here when I returned, happy, it seems, to have me back. There’s always something to do at the Library! I got a little caught up on MyTenThings. I haven’t downloaded any pictures cause I don’t have any. I signed onto Meebo as AliciaT. Haven’t chatted with anyone. Again, no time. I printed up the RSS instructions and signed up on Blogline. But, that’s it for now. The Circ Desk calls!
Let’s see…about this deal with me and CARL… We needed a “cooling off period.” I was busy all the time and he was redundant. Folks who interracted with him were coming back to me saying that they didn’t know all of these “items” were already dealt with and it was really a pain to have gone over someone else’s work and waste all that time. I felt bad. Not for CARL, though. That’s why I had to take a break. For awhile, some cute, young volunteers where showing up to look him over. They always said that they could never find him and his stuff, or they hadn’t had enough time to get through his “to-do list.” Finally, one-by-one, they stopped coming around. Suddenly, his “to-do list” was on my desk. I thought I’d clean him up a bit. But, it seems there were more than one copy of this “to-do” and it became a big “who-hah!” I wanted to know who was so into CARL’s “to-do” that we needed his business out there in the streets! I guess I had to realize that CARL isn’t just hooked on me. See, maybe I should go back to the beginning, and explain my introduction to CARL. I’ll do that another time. For now, just suffice it to say that CARL hasn’t been very, very good to me!

Blog Update
Well, it seems when you have a blog, you are supposed to write in it, like daily. Not gonna happen for me. I don’t have a computer at home (for now) and at work I have no time to do much on the blog. I tried to write a review for the Wiki deal. Wordpad deleted my review and I didn’t have time to redo it. Still don’t have time. I’m behind, needless to say wtihour 10 things. I don’t know what flickr is at all and the next thing, social bookmarks doesn’t currently interest me, only because I never get much time with the computer. Actually, the computer and me are acquaintances now. There was a time when I was married to a computer (being a legal secretary) and I was becoming injured from all my interactions. Now, as a Library Clerk, I have a new “friend.” His name is CARL. I will really need to explain my relationship with him. In fact, I have been encouraged to write up a little “one woman show” all around my topsy-turvey relationship with CARL. But, right now, I am out of break time and cannot continue. I have much work to do. Stay tuned.

Lovely Scene
Don’t you just love the picture above? It reminds me of the Coast off of Hwy 1. My vacation is coming up and this is the kind of place I go. I stay in a lovely house in the Sea Ranch, gifted to us whenever my husband and I need to get away. We haven’t had a “real” vacation in 4 or 5 years! Needless to say, I can hardly wait til mid-July to go and rest. No phone, no TV (although we haven’t had TV for quite a few months now) no computers, no demands, just rest. The air smells clean, the food tastes better and you eat less because you are so in tune with nature. Just to spend alone time with my husband is the most exciting. We have been through a lot, especially in the last 2 years. He is 2 years post-stroke. I like the guy he is now, better than the guy he was turning into, before the stroke. Luckily, and because of lots of prayer and God’s grace, he is pretty much healed and whole. There are no major residual side effects left that hinder his living in any way. So, we are learning how to be together again. It’s sort of like a new romance. Ooooo. Let me stop here! Let me know about where you like to vacation or if you care to share about stroke or traumatic brain injury. Peace!

Trying to Close!
It’s the last 15 minutes at ORI and I am trying to make entry into my blog. I am always in the margins as so many other things are happening that I can’t get it done. I looked at Robbin Milne’s page and WOWWWEEE ZOWWWEEE! I need her help in a big way! If I get a few minutes, I’ll try and give a blow-by-blow accounting of life.
So far, my daughter is leaving for Chicago, to make her new home on Mon., June 30th. I am very sad but proud of her all the same.
Happy 4th of July! Until next entry…
